Earthquake

So there was an earthquake this morning at around 9:44 a.m. and I felt nothing! Originally it was said to be 5.2 (which is pretty big) but then they revised it and said it was a 4.0 (still kinda big). It was centered close to Laupahoehoe which is about 28 miles from where I live. My oldest daughter felt it at home (5 minutes from my job) and my youngest daughter felt it all the way in Waikoloa which is well over a 100 miles from where I live. I can't believe I didn't feel it. Guess my office is sturdy? LOL

Well, I received a ton of phone calls from worried friends and family checking if I was okay after the quake ... and I actually didn't even know we had one until I started getting calls. There was no threat of a tsunami so that's good. So far no damage reported on the news, that's good too.

At least the rain has stopped .... a little. It's still freezing cold though. Yes people, 66 degrees is freezing to us in Hawaii. LOL

  1. Glad to know you made it through the earthquake. I felt my first one last year, and so now I say I'm an earthquake survivor, LOL. Welcome to the blogging world, and I would gladly exchange weather with you. We get to look forward to a balmy 32 degrees today!
