Crazy Denim Dayz!

I spent all day listing on eBay. I have tons of jeans in all sizes and brands and I finally chained myself to my desk and got them listed today. I have tons more to list but at least I made a dent in the pile.

I put together this sweet deal ... 16 junior tops and jeans for 99 cents! Click here to check it out.

This week is eBay and hopefully next week I get a chance to settle down and start sewing some of the many projects I have lined up. Will post pictures if I get a chance.

I just listed this gorgeous Mickey Mouse blanket/throw here in etsy. Isn't it nice? I am selling this for a friend. She does such excellent work. And with me being a Mickey Mouse fanatic, I was very happy to sell this for her.

Just wanted to share this cute blanket/throw with you all! =)

I haven't posted in awhile, I've been busy with some custom orders and some cute new rag quilt loveys. These are just a few of what I've made so far. I just listed them in my Etsy shop. I love making loveys because they are fast, cute, and fun!

Question for my fellow blogger friends ......

I've asked this question before and never received a response .... and maybe it's easy to figure out but I haven't yet. LOL My question is .... how do you respond to comments? I love reading comments people leave but I don't know how to respond to them. Many times I get asked a question and I feel bad not answering. I normally just comment back on my own blog ... is that right? Or is there some nifty trick that I don't know??

If someone could let me know, I would be very grateful.

To answer some of the questions I've been getting in my comments .... yes I will post more pictures of Kailee and yes I will be posting some quilting pictures too. LOL

Aloha from HOT Hawaii .... it's 8pm and I am sitting outside on my porch sweating! *blah*

Kailee ..... 2 months old

Here is a new photo of my grandbaby .... 2 months old. She's 15 pounds now LOL

Busy .... busy .... busy ....

It's been awhile since I've posted anything .... I've been busy, busy, busy! So much stuff going on. I've been sewing up a storm trying to get inventory for etsy. I bought a new laptop on Sunday and I'm obsessed with surfing on my porch LOL And I've been fixing up my computer/craft/sewing room. On top of all that I work full time and I'm planning another baby shower for my youngest daughter. The days are just not long enough for me. Oh gosh and we are having a heat wave here in Hawaii .... my electric bill is sure to go up since I've been having to use the AC more often. It's graduation time too so I've been busy making leis and attending parties for family and friends. I think I need a vacation LOL

Etched Glass

Mickey Mouse makes me happy. I collect Mickey Mouse items and I like to craft things around a Mickey Mouse theme too .... like quilts, burp cloths, clothing, pillows, and glass. Among my many crafty projects I also etch glass. These turned out so cute that I am keeping a set for myself and selling one on my Etsy. I had fun making these.

**Photo taken in my kitchen. And yes, the walls are bright (some say blinding) yellow like Mickey's shoes, the table cloth is red and the curtains are red with Mickey heads all over. I'm just a tad bit obsessed. =)

Dress Baby in Style!

My shabby designer applique/decoupage outfit is finished and up for sale! I had a little bit of Michael Miller Carnival Bloom fabric left (I just LOVE this print) and I've been wanting to do something with it and I decided to decoupage these denim overalls that I had. I think it turned out cute!

I just listed them in my Etsy store. I can't wait to make more. It took me awhile since my new granddaughter craves lots of attention lately LOL

Wow! It's been a month since I've last posted. Don't know where the time has gone. Little Kailee is over 9 pounds and healthy as ever. She just made one month old the other day. I can't believe we've had this little bundle of joy in our lives for a whole month already. Where does the time go?

She is quite the little Papa's girl. For now he seems to be the only one she wants when she is fussy. And of course, my darling hubby is oh so pleased about that. Here is a picture of her taken on her the other day. She looks so big already!

In other news, we had another earthquake today:

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake shook up the Big Island this evening, not far from where a 5.0 quake was centered last week, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake, which struck at about 4:58 p.m., was centered about 26 miles south of Hilo and 11 miles southeast of Volcano.

Last Tuesday, the magnitude 5.0 temblor was centered about 9 miles south of Volcano and 27 miles south-southwest of Hilo.

It wasn't big but scared me just the same LOL

Introducing Kailee .....

My granddaughter has finally arrived! After 21 hours of labor and no epidural *yikes* my little sweetie made her entrance, much to my daughter's relief. She was born March 19, 2009 at 5:59 pm, 6 lbs, 13 oz, 20 inches long.

Baby on the way!

I'm pretty sure that my granddaughter will be born within the next 24 hours! Finally! LOL I can't wait for her to be born. My daughter has been having contractions about every 20 minutes or so .... so hopefully soon! I'm beyond excited!!

Completed Lily's Rag Quilt

Yay! I finished a rag quilt. My daughter's friend is due in a month. She wanted me to make her a rag quilt and I've been putting it off because I've been so busy. Well yesterday afternoon I finally got started and finished last night!

I think it's cute. It actually looks better in person than it does in the photo LOL For some reason my rag quilts do not photograph very well. It's not fully fluffed up yet and I have some threads to cut before giving it as a gift.

I used Crazy for Dots & Stripes fabric, pink flannel in the middle and the back and white minky.

eBay, Etsy or Bonanzle?

I am currently selling on three sites. I'm still unsure of which one I like better or which one is better. I am new to Etsy and Bonanzle. I've been on and off eBay for years. I just recently opened another account. I was a strong supporter of eBay and defended them totally every time there was a change and people went crazy. But, the last few changes sort of killed it for me. I recently signed back up because Etsy and Bonanzle are slow and I need to move merchandise as the craft fairs are a little slow this time of year.

eBay just doesn't seem to have the same support and interest that it used to have. Maybe it's because I'm just starting up again, I don't know. I'll see how it goes for now. I'm still not happy with the new feedback policy and DSR's and fees ... but what's a person to do? They still have the most traffic in my opinion. You can find me on eBay ID sugarboogerbaby.

Bonanzle is a cool place that is a little like eBay except there are no auctions. You set a price and people can offer you another price and you can counter offer etc. I didn't expect to get rich there but I made a sale in my first week there and was very excited. I bought stuff from two different sellers too. I think this place might grow ... we'll see. For now I'm happy with it. I think this place has alot of potential. You can find me on Bonanzle at www.bonanzle.com/booths/SugarBooger

Etsy is a great place but again sales are slow. I've had 3 sales in about a week which totally excited me. I had read somewhere that it's slow to start but once you get established it picks up. I hope so! The thing I like about etsy is that it is mainly crafts and supplies (with a little vintage thrown in). The people here are really nice. I got a little confused with listing (so used to eBay that's why) but all in all I like selling here too. You can find me on etsy at SugarBoogerBaby.etsy.com

I'm interested in Artfire and 1000 markets too but I think I need to focus on the 3 places I sell at for now. It's hard enough to find time to list things and make things, I'm so backed up. I'd be insane to try and list in more places LOL

Anyone had or has success with any of the above? I'd love to hear your thoughts....

No Baby Yet .....

So I'm expecting my first grandchild any day now. We thought she was coming yesterday but it was a false alarm. My daughter started cramping pretty bad and the doctor thought it might be contractions and told her to go straight to the hospital. So we did the hour drive and checked her in and they did a stress test on the baby (all fine and normal) and started measuring her contractions which were about 30 minutes apart and then they just stopped. Just like that, stopped! LOL I was pretty bummed, I thought my granddaughter would be making her entrance but I guess she fooled us.

I'm so excited, I can hardly wait. I hope she comes soon ... tonight would be great. =)

Earthquake

So there was an earthquake this morning at around 9:44 a.m. and I felt nothing! Originally it was said to be 5.2 (which is pretty big) but then they revised it and said it was a 4.0 (still kinda big). It was centered close to Laupahoehoe which is about 28 miles from where I live. My oldest daughter felt it at home (5 minutes from my job) and my youngest daughter felt it all the way in Waikoloa which is well over a 100 miles from where I live. I can't believe I didn't feel it. Guess my office is sturdy? LOL

Well, I received a ton of phone calls from worried friends and family checking if I was okay after the quake ... and I actually didn't even know we had one until I started getting calls. There was no threat of a tsunami so that's good. So far no damage reported on the news, that's good too.

At least the rain has stopped .... a little. It's still freezing cold though. Yes people, 66 degrees is freezing to us in Hawaii. LOL

Hilo Rain

It's been raining for days! It's cold, dreary and wet. The road down from where I live is closed again - something that happens quite often in heavy rain. If you look at this video taken today, you will see what looks like a lake - which is actually a soccer field and the back parking area of a business. My front yard looks a little like a lake at the moment too. Water and mud are everywhere. And, to make matters worse .... my roof has sprung a leak! Ugh!

Starting a Blog

Well I finally did it! Started a blog! Why? I'm not sure actually. Maybe it's because so many people I follow on Twitter ask me if I have one or not. Maybe it's because I read so many other blogs and always thought it would be fun to have my own. Maybe I want to keep up with the times LOL Whatever the reason, I'm here so I'll try to make the best of it.
